Terms

Version 1.1 · 5 August 2026

One item outstanding: have a lawyer read section 10 (liability) and section 12 against Wyoming law and against EU consumer law, since these terms are served to Spanish-speaking users in the EU. Everything else is filled in and accurate. Remove this banner once that review is done.

The short version

Aguante is a free fasting tracker. It is not a doctor, it does not know your bloodwork, and it cannot tell whether fasting is safe for you. Everything in it is information, not instruction.

You do not need an account. You can take your data out at any time, and you can delete all of it. If you are under 18, pregnant, have a history of an eating disorder, take an SGLT2 inhibitor, or manage a condition that fasting affects, this app will not run a fast for you — and that is the app working, not failing.

1. Who you are agreeing with

Aguante is operated by Riv Lux Media Inc ("we", "us"). These terms are the agreement between you and us for your use of aguante.app and any Aguante app we publish. Using it means you accept them. If you do not, the honest answer is to stop using it — there is nothing to cancel and nothing to pay.

How we handle your information is a separate document and it is the one that matters most: the privacy policy.

2. This is not medical advice

Aguante is not a medical device, not a clinician, and not a substitute for one. Nothing in it diagnoses, treats, or prevents anything. It cannot see your bloodwork, your medication list, or your history, so it cannot know whether fasting is safe for you. Decisions about your body are between you and someone qualified who is actually looking at you.

We take the evidence seriously, and that cuts both ways. Every stage in the app carries a visible confidence grade, we refuse to state anything below grade B as fact, and where the honest answer is "nobody has studied this", the app says so instead of inventing a number. That is a commitment about how carefully we describe research. It is not a promise that any of it applies to you.

Fasting carries real, documented risks. If you are managing a condition, taking medication, or unsure for any reason, talk to a doctor before you start — particularly if you take insulin, a sulfonylurea, or blood-pressure medication, where fasting can require a dose change that only the person who prescribed it can make.

If you have chest pain, faint, become confused, have an irregular heartbeat lasting more than a few minutes, cannot stop vomiting, or pass cola-coloured urine with muscle pain — stop and get emergency help. That is an ambulance, not an app.

3. Who this is not for

You must be 18 or over to use Aguante. We do not build fasting tools for under-18s, and that is not a legal hedge — adolescent bodies are still building and the risk is not worth it.

Before anything else, the app asks a short set of safety questions. If your answers put you in a group where fasting carries documented risk — a history of an eating disorder, pregnancy or breastfeeding, an SGLT2 inhibitor, type 1 diabetes, and others — Aguante will not start a fast for you. The rest of the app stays open: the articles, the electrolyte guidance, all of it. We would rather lose you as a user than be part of a relapse.

There is a single override, and it exists because a real doctor sometimes does clear a real patient. Using it is you telling us that has happened. If it has not, you are not covered by anything here, and you are taking a risk we specifically told you not to take.

The override is not offered for age, and it never overrides age. A doctor's note answers a medical question; being 16 is not one. If either your birth year or your safety answers say you are under 18, the app will not start a fast, and there is no button that changes that.

Answer the safety questions honestly. They are the only thing standing between the app and a recommendation it should not be making, and there is no way for us to check them.

4. What you need, and what you get

5. Your account, if you make one

Aguante offers an optional account so your history can reach another device. Nothing in the app requires one. If you use one:

We may suspend or close an account that is being used to attack the service or break section 7. If we ever do that to you, you keep your local data and your export.

6. What it costs

Aguante is free. There is nothing to buy, no trial, no subscription, and no part of the app locked behind a payment — including the safety features and the research, which we will not put behind a paywall.

If we ever charge for something, it will be a new and clearly-marked thing, it will be announced in the app before it exists, and it will come with its own terms that you would have to accept separately. Nothing you use free today becomes paid later.

7. Using it reasonably

There is not much to prohibit here, because there is nothing social in the app and nothing to exploit. So, briefly: do not attack or overload the service, do not try to reach data that is not yours, do not scrape or resell the content, and do not present Aguante's material as medical advice to anyone else — it is not that for you and it is not that for them.

8. Availability, and what happens if we stop

We do not promise the service is always up. It is offered as it is, it can change, and features can be withdrawn.

But one commitment is worth writing into a contract rather than a blog post, because this category has broken it before and destroyed years of people's history doing so:

9. What belongs to whom

The app, its text, its research summaries, its design and the name Aguante are ours or our licensors'. You get a personal, non-transferable right to use the app for yourself, and nothing more is transferred.

What you enter stays yours. Your fasts, weights, symptoms and notes belong to you. We claim no ownership of them and we do not use them to train anything.

10. Liability

Aguante is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, including that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that any outcome will follow from using it.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost data, or lost profits arising from your use of the app. Where liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, ours is limited to the amount you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim — which, while Aguante is free, is nothing.

None of that limits anything that cannot lawfully be limited. In particular, nothing in these terms excludes or restricts our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that applicable law does not permit us to exclude. If you are a consumer, you keep every mandatory right your local law gives you and nothing here reduces them.

11. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that affects you, we will say so in the app before the change takes effect — not quietly, and not after the fact. The version number and date at the top always reflect what is currently in force. If you keep using Aguante after a change, that is acceptance; if you do not want it, stop using the app and export your data.

12. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of the State of Wyoming, United States, and its courts have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory law of the country you live in, or of your right to bring proceedings there.

If part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands.

No necesitas cuenta.
